Do You Take Insurance?

Halpern Psychiatric does not accept insurance. However, we will provide you with the appropriate receipt and billing codes to submit to the insurance provider/Kupat Cholim, so you can obtain the maximum allowable amount for out-of-network benefits from your insurance provider/Kupat Cholim.

Are You Currently Taking New Patients?

Halpern Psychiatric is currently accepting patients in Israel for in-person appointments located in Beit Shemesh. Halpern Psychiatric is NOT accepting new patients in the United States except when referred from another provider.

What Kinds of Medications Can You Prescribe?

If you are located in Israel, Halpern Psychiatric is able to prescribe medications deemed appropriate after a complete evaluation.

If you are located in the United States looking for a provider to continue a scheduled medication (such as a Benzodiazepine or Stimulant) or to possibly start such a medication, Halpern Psychiatric is not taking on new patients with this need at this time, but will be happy to offer referrals.

Do You Offer Telehealth or In-Person Options?

Halpern Psychiatric offers both in-person and telehealth options. However, all visits for patients located in the United States are being conducted through a Telehealth platform.

How often do I need to see you?

Halpern Psychiatric offers services that range from weekly to every 3-6 month visits. After your initial evaluation, we will create a treatment plan that is tailored towards each patient’s individual needs.

Can I get a letter from you for work or school?

Halpern Psychiatric is happy to perform clinical assessments and evaluations at this time. However, we do not perform formal neuropsychiatric or school psychological testing. We are able to provide letters in consultation with each individual patient and/or patient family. Halpern Psychiatric is not performing disability evaluations at this time.

What are your fees?

Halpern Psychiatric fees are as follows: (parenthesis are shekel estimations)

Initial Evaluations

Adult : $450. (1,700 NIS)

Child & Adolescent: $1050 (3,900 NIS) ($350 (1,300 NIS) for 3 sessions for evaluation with parents, child, and feedback)

Psychotherapy- (45-50 minutes): $300 (1,130 NIS)

Medication Management Follow Up- (15-25 minutes): $200 (755 NIS)

What is your cancellation policy?

Halpern Psychiatric has a 24-hour no question cancellation policy. You can cancel before 24 hours before an appointment by cancelling on the Orchid system with no associated fees. However, any cancellations within the 24-hour window of an appointment will be charged the full fee. This is not refundable and included in consent forms for the practice.

Halpern Psychiatric is currently utilizing Orchid as our patient portal. If you would like to utilize our services you must register an account with them, and all billing and clinical messaging goes through this system.
